we were supposed to get married 5/15/13 but since my financee and i are the main ones paying for the wedding i wasn't aware of the "budges" situation. not that i was going to plain anything over the top but came to be more realistic for us to push the wedding back few more years so we can have the wedding we want and not be so strapped. in all i'm ok with the idea of it being pushed back i mean this gives me more time to plan. little sad cause well you get your heart set and when change or i should say reality kicks in all you can do is veiw it from that new point of veiw.

He's definatly worth the wait. just well i thought i knew what the budget was before and thought we discussed it but after we talked about the wedding plans he asked me "and so how much do you think all this will cost?" and when i told he was like um that more then we had saved.. so we talked about cutting some stuff but then i saw some saddness form on his face cause he wants a nice wedding just as much as i. so we formed compermise and decided that the only way to add more money into the pot with out sacrificing much was to move the date. hopefully with the new date all will run more smoothly.

The time really goes by so fast. We're in the midst of a 2 1/2 year engagement so believe me when I say the time goes by quickly!
You can always plan something smaller, consider having a Friday or Sunday wedding or a day time wedding to save some money.

i came to terms with it, there is so much going on with my life. i think everything happens for a reason. probably for the best i mean i'm not from where we are wanting to get married so this gives me time to find place and not make any hasty dicisions based on not being local for me.

I think you made the smart decision.  Better to postpone than go into debt for a one-day affair.
