A close family friend was diagnosed with cancer in September 2011. This lady is basically a second mom to me and the glue of her family, so a lot of people were really scared when the doctor told her she wouldn't make Christmas 2011. The tumour was on her muscle and growing rapidlly toward her spine. something made it stop .25 of an inch from her spine and start growing the opposite direction. Because of this, the doctors were able to operate. They got it all and it hasn't seemed to spread yet! She was even able to avoid radiation and chemo! My dad phoned me last night to share the glorious news (I'm living out-of-province for school). I had to share some positive news. There is always hope.
