My MIL likes to use the term. it would be nice if you...

* Had such and such in your wedding
*Had chair covers, they are much nicer
*had such and such read she did a good job at blah blahs wedding
* had a marble cake so everyone can enjoy
* choose this florist over your moms florist
* picked this bakery they are much better then the one you picked
* Had a head table instead of a sweetheart table
* Do these readings at church.


Blah Blah Blah well after being nice and finding out that my MIL called the caterer to see if she can get chair covers (and extra $5000.00) Called My bakery to ask why they have two bad reviews, Asked the person she wanted to read, and made the program for my wedding with complete different to what we discussed and had the nerve to invite 13 guests under the age of 18 + guest....JUST VENTING!!!!!! 15 MORE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree witht he girls who say its on your FI to change things. When I started dating my FI, he was SUCH a mommas boy, she did EVERYTHING for him! Including washing and ironing his hankerchiefs! I explained to him right away that I was just not that kinda girl to be replacing his mother in life as his wife. And I told him that I wasnt going to pull him away from her, or else shed resent me, it was HE who had to distance himself, cut the umbillical cord and grow up. Hes done very well with it. With our wedding plans, and everything else in life, she always wants to butt in and have her say, Im simply say to my FI, tell her to butt out, or I will tell her myself, and if I have to do it, it will be way worse. Also, as the person above me said, we stopped telling her details about things. So ever since its been peaceful. I dont want anomosity with my MIL, but its bound to happen. So believe me, I know how frustrating it is and Im sorry your dealing with all the stress and shes not helping with it at all! Hopefully things get better and your FI can help with it.

He does have a sister who is married and 15 years older then he is so he is pretty much the baby.
