i was single, he was in year 2.5 of a 3 year relationship when we first met. we lost touch & 6 years later, he walked into a party i was at & it was love at first sight for me.

On a technicallity I was single lol meaning I was "talking" (aka dating) to someone but not really in anything serious. FI was in the same situation (he actually asked me for dating advice on the car ride to the place we were going to!)

I was about 10 months out of an intense, 6 year relationship. I had been on a couple dates with some weirdos. I met FI on E-Harmony.. we were each other's first matches.. and have been inseperable since then. We are 3 weeks shy of 3 years now.

yeah..but i met him at a middle school dance lol he was from another school. then me asked me out every day for a week til i said yes. we dated for a while then off and on through ms/hs. he moved to FL but asked me to visit so i did & then not too long later he moved back to NY with me

He had dated a girl I went to hs with a few months earlier and then some mutual friends set us up on a date and now 6 yrs later we're getting married!!!

we met online when we were 14/15 and we were both dating other people and continued to date those same people for about 3 more years.  when I turned 18 I took the trip down to MD to meet him in person and from there we dated for 18 months.  we broke up for 3 years and when we got back in touch we were again dating other people but those relationships were short lived b/c of our unresolved feelings for each other.

Ummm...Nope,neither of us were... I was seperated, and he was married. Both of us wish we waited to find each other, the only bright note from those toxic relationships are the kids. 5 between us!!! I can honestly say I we love each others kids and already consider ourselves a big, happy family!  And we want more!

Yep. We were both in other relationships at the time. We were friends for several years before we started dating.

I had just broken up with my ex FI 3 mo before I met my current FI! OMG I know! But it was the best thing that could have happened to me!

i was dating someone else...i went out with my roommates and he was at the bar we went to and we talk for about an hour and a half, didnt get my # found out we had mutual friends found him on facebook and we went out and the rest is history.

I met the love of my life on the first day of Jr. High....we talked and were friends for years....10 years after we met he proposed!!

I was in a relationship with my ex for 2 years when I met my FH. Once I realized that I didn't have feelings for my ex anymore and did for my FH, I ended that relationship. About a little over a month later FH asked me to be his girlfriend. We've been together for 7 and 1/2 years and are getting married in 2010.
