i think trying to make people happy with what you decide is hard. I know "it's your wedding and you should do what YOU want" but everyone knows thats not always the case. Sometimes you have to do things you might not want to, to just avoid issues.

And trying to pay for it all is hard. Working a full time job just isnt enough sometime.... ehh as exciting as planning is, it will be nice when it is over : p

Try not to focus so much on what others think your wedding should be like. It really is you and your FIs wedding and it should reflect what you guys want.

With that said, if someone is helping pay for it (like parents or something), they do get a bit of say so, if requested.

Don't work yourself to death trying to pay for a one day party. Have the day you want, but there are ways to save money and not strain yourself.

Remember to have fun and just go with it. Try not to let the little things bug you and always, always keep the big picture in mind. It's about the marriage, not the wedding.
