Idk what this website is, I found it while searching for reserved seating templates, but thought this post was... interesting. I think TK is the only wedding planning site left that doesn't validate bad ideas... it's harsh here, but puts things in perspective..

How do you not click when the post is "crazy bride"!?  I'm sort of blown away by the sheer amount of "me, me , me, me, me" that goes on in wedding planning for some people.  Yes it OUR wedding day, but it's also our parents' day, our families' day to all be together...Thank goodness for loving family members who have taught me to act the right way!

Good grief, that practically made me sick to my stomach.  I can't believe how demanding people are of the people who are supposedly their closest friends.  And I'm with you MissHart, I don't get the whole support thing either.  Seems a little over done.

Kinda ironic though, all these brides who kick out their MOH's because they don't do enough.  My MOH dropped out because she felt the position was too stressful and she couldn't "fulfull the duties".  Which was completely ridiculous because I told her she didn't have any duties to stress about.  I'm even letting my ladies pick their own dress, as long as it's white and knee length.  We ended up parting ways as friends, partially because of this (amongst other things).  I see these brides kicking out people and risking those friendships, and I think how I would give anything to have my former friend back in my life and back in my wedding.  Those brides just don't appreciate what they have.

Oops, sorry for the vent there.  It just really gets to me.

I love that her MOH "ruined all the fun of wedding planning" cause she didn't have a "supportive MOH at her hair trial and dress fitting"

I just had my dress fitting Sunday and one of my BM tagged along- it took like 20 minutes then we left. These aren't exactly momentous occasions.

My MOH was supposed to attend my hair trial? I shall tell her right away that her husband, three kids, and Master's thesis don't hold a candle to MY HAIR TRIAL. She's out.

This is exactly why I appreciate the honesty on these boards. Wow. What do brides not get that just because someone is in your wedding party you don't need to talk JUST about wedding things. It's ok to go about your daily, regular routine and talk about normal things other than the wedding.
