What your first bridesmaid did does not justfy your actions in picking a 2nd string bridesmaid.  The two have nothing to do with one another.  I don't care if your kid, your husband, your dear ol granny, or the ghost of your mom said it.  IT'S RUDE. 

Oh whaaaa we had always dreamed of our wedding party walking down the aisle arm in arm whaaaaaa.  Who cares?  Your bridesmaid dropped out, so change it and quit whining.  But it's too late now since you've already asked the other chick.  But you really need to get a grip on reality or stay off the interwebz wedding forums.

I can barely understand what you are saying, but it appears that the wedding industry has caused you to believe that colors are more important than your friends. A wedding does not mean that you need to ruin friendships for pretty pictures. Good luck with that.

A friend directed me to this post.  Yes, people will say things that you may not necessarily want to hear.  You also don't help your case any by ranting in all caps.  That is completely unnecessary.  You wanted advice, and you got it.  If you have read other posts, you would know that most people frown upon replacing someone in your wedding party, no matter what the reason.
