name change question

I know that I need copies of my marriage certificate to bring to social security and the dmv.  I got the official copies and put my last name on the certificate as it is now.  Was that the right thing to do or was I suppose to put my married last name on them?  Does the SS office and DMV even care?  Thanks!

    My marriage cert. has my maiden name on it and I was able to change everything just fine. Are you excited?! :)

    Your marriage license is supposed to have your maiden name on it - I doubt they would have let you put otherwise, so no worries!!  GL - the whole name change process was actually very easy to take care of.
