New posts/searching

Hi everyone,

I'm new and have been reading with interest over the past few days or so. Quick technical question (not sure if this is the right board):

Is it possible to search/sort threads or posts by new posts rather than by board? E.g. most forums I'm on have a way to 'view new posts' from all boards on one page rather than having to go into each baord individually to find new threads/posts. Is this a feature of this forum? am I just missing the button, or is it not available?

Nope, not available.  There are WAY too many boards for that.

There used to be a way to sort posts with newest replies on top for each individual board, but that disappeared with their last "update."

Thanks for the info. The amount of boards doesn't affect the software to do this btw. It's available on other forums with plenty of boards too. It might not be as user friendyl with so many boards (plenty you'd have no interest in I guess), but it's doable. Different forums use different interfaces though so it just might not be an option regardless with this particular one.

No problem though, will just keep an eye on a few boards :)

Oh, no, that's what I meant.  That it doesn't make sense because most people wouldn't be interested in EVERY board, especially with all the month boards and local boards.

I think, if you frequent other forums, that you'll find TK's forum formats and IT problems to be quite disagreeable.

Ah right, yeah, fair enough.

I'm struggling a little bit with it alright. The search and not being able to sort e.g. by most replies etc as well as having to go into each individual board makes it a bit difficult to use. I guess if I find it interesting enough I'll get over that!

I like how busy it is though and the regular traffic so we'll see.
