has anyone had sucess ordering from Etsy? Ive been trying to make a purchase but no one from the company has gotten back to me...normal?

I have done many purchases off of Etsy.  Each seller runs their own stores so the response from the seller depends on how often they check their account.

How long have you been waiting for a response?  It could be that the seller is on vacation.  If it's been more than a week I would send them another message.

I've ordered all kinds of things off of Etsy and never had a problem. I would send the seller a message to make sure they got your order. I always forget to put a note on my store when I'll be out of town, so that could be the case.

I've both ordered and sold on Etsy and have never had an issue.

How long has it been since the seller responded to you / you sent the message?
If it's been a while, I might suggest trying to find the item through another seller (assuming someone else makes the item).

I've ordered tons of things off of Etsy, including my absolutely gorgeous invitations, and I've only had one problem person. The piece of advice I can give for future orders is to make sure the person has several positive reviews and to check where they are located. That doesn't always mean they're perfect, but they have a better chance of getting you what you want. 

However, right now I'm waiting for an address stamp that should have been mailed on the 22nd, hasn't yet shipped and the guy won't talk to me. He had 99% positive reviews, and I read the first page of them and they looked good, but when I went through another couple of pages I ran into his negative reviews, all of which were for things not shipping on time and being really late and him being unresponsive to communication. I should have read through that before I ordered.

I have bought tons on etsy, a couple sellers I have had to poke a few times, but always had a good experience

Did you read the feedback on the seller? That will usually tell you how responsive they typically are. They could be on vacation. If it's been a week i'd try again. I've had great luck with Etsy.

I love Etsy! Alot of what I got for our wedding came from their! I hope you get a response soon.

I have a huge LOVE for Etsy. I have bought everything from collars/harnesses for my pup to my wedding invites designed by someone from Etsy.

Everyone is on their own schedual. I find (lately) that quite a few people are on vaycay. They usually close up shop during that time but I guess it all depends on the seller.

Ack...that's happened to me before. Sometimes I get so excited about how great a product is, I forget to read through the feedback. It really bites you in the butt sometimes.

I would read through the feedback, but yeah, I've never had a single problem using Etsy.

I have ordered a few things off etsy and have had such wonderful sellers, super responsive and fast shipping. I would definitely read through reviews, hopefully you get a response soon!
