We are going to be on my fair wedding!

Oh my God I can't believe this is really happening for us! I had to come on and share my joy! Anyone else coming out on the show or has already that wants to share their story?

Re: We are going to be on my fair wedding!

  • Lol I guess I should have said we are going to be on the My Fair Wedding show. Sorry for the confusion folks! Also thanks for letting me know that even though they declined early I still need to make sure to send them an invite. I had no idea!
  • I think there's one exception to the send an STD no matter what rule and that is as in my case when FI's cousin told us in person over Christmas that they would not be able to come and please don't worry about sending an invitation. Our wedding is in September, she's a teacher, her kids are in school and they all live in England. So we are not sending one because they specifically told us not to, which of course is not the same as some people saying to OP that they "think" they won't be able to come without giving detailed instructions to not send them an invite. But I just wanted to point out that in some cases a B&G could be ignoring the potential guests' wishes if they send one anyway.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re:We are coming out on my fair wedding!: Oh okay that explains it then. I didn't think we had no control over our wedding though. They said he would go over all the plans we have already made and then change the things that weren't great and make it better. There were a couple of things we had to change right off the bat though, which was to change the wedding date to fit his schedule and we have to decrease the guest list to 120 people. Thankfully we haven't sent out invites yet but we did send out save the dates. It makes me a little nervous I must admit but I trust it will be amazing in the end. Thankfully I am pretty easy going when it comes to the details of the wedding, nothing is written in stone with us so this should work out well for us, not to mention all the money we are going to save!

Have you not seen the show? I don't think he will change your DJ or your photographer but everything else? Up for grabs. Your dress? Completely changed if he wants. Your visioin? He could hate it and do something completely different. Colors? Changed. Bridesmaid dresses? Changed. You won't know about anything until you walk down that aisle. I personally could not handle that, but heck if all you care about is just getting married to the man you love and absolutely none of the details then more power to you.

  • Yes at the end of the day it is all about marrying my love! I am just incredibly happy to be blessed to have the opportunity to have some serious financial assistance for the wedding. I am pretty easy going when it comes to the wedding as far as style and theme goes. I trust it will be beautiful so I am ok with changing my colors and things. As for the STD rule I also had people tell me in person or over the facebook that they won't be able to come for reasons like they moved across the country, are pregnant and ready to pop at the time of my wedding. Divorcing and other serious things that make me pretty sure they meant what they said. I don't want to come off pushy either. Their must be a science to this invite thing because some dozzies come up!
