This is not a bash to my mom. I love the hell out of her I just don't understand why she can't let some things go. She keeps trying to make me feel guilty about not inviting extended family (that I haven't seen since I was a toddler so I don't even know them) to out very small wedding. And I mean about 60 people including immediate family.
She's not contributing to the wedding, but I just got to hear her tell me how I'm being unreasonable because I "murdered" her really long list (90% I don't even know!) because we don't have the money to feed them all. She told me when I asked for her guest list (which I asked for the people she would like to come) that that means she should be allowed those people since she's sharing the joy of my wedding with them. She can't even tell you what state some of them live in.
Then she proceeds to tell me that I'm probably "robbing" FILs of the same and should reconsider to be "fair" to everyone. (FILs aren't paying for weddin either, but have offered the RD.)
It's driving me CRAZY! Everytime I talk to her on the phone. Seriously. FI wants to invite even less people than I do and if he had his way it would be even smaller.
