i need some help

pulling my hair out over my best friends bachelorette party! we had big plans, to stay in a casino/hotel, $200 a night! but with costs beign split between 4 girls, not so bad... well, 2 dropped out!!! i most definitely cannot afford this anymore, and i hate to say so to her. she suggested ot cancel it, but i want to do something, and unfortunately, we live in a small town, surrounded by many other small towns, and no sign of anything fun to do for hours! oh what to do?

any suggestions? this weekend is the only time we can do this!

You could rent some chick flicks, buy some alcohol/pop and have an adult sleepover.

    You could go bowling.

There has to be some kind of bar you could go out to.

Umm....that's all I've got right now. Good luck. :)

I also don't understand how this is a Bridezilla attack...it seems like she is understanding of the situation unless I'm reading this wrong.

yeah. . . Im not seeing how this is a Bridezilla attack. From the sounds of it, the bride would be okay with cancelling. As pp said , just rent some great movies, get some awesome food, manicure stuff and just have a girls weekend or something.

Can you go to the casino to gamble and have dinner/drinks, then go back to someone's house instead of staying at the hotel? I agree with PP, I don't see where the Bridezilla is coming from.  It sounds like a stressful situation that everyone is trying to make the best of.

What did you do for fun before the wedding?  There has to be somewhere fun you can go.

If she suggested canceling it I really don't understand why you feel you're under attack of the killer Bridezilla.

i know, i worded that subject wrong... i was slightly spazzing at the time, she says she wants to go, then doesnt, at that moment i set the title, it was a want to go moment... and with costs total for gas and food and all, it was around 400... i was the one with the bridezilla attack. :)

the only bars around here are sleezy... the nearest nice place to go is literally 2.5 hours away... oh the country life....

could try for the chick flick thing, if we find a place to  have it. (we all have kids, and i, for one, wouldnt have anywhere to send my fiance and child to for a night, not to mention my home isnt big enough for us even). Dilemma...

It's very nice of you to want to throw her a really nice bachelorette party, but I'm sure she would understand if you did something less expensive. Even bridezillas know how the ecomony is todayWink What do you guys do when you hang out? You could go out to a bar for some drinks, watch girly wedding movies, shop, all of the above, etc. She sounds reasonable (I was jk about the bridezilla thing) and I'm sure she would appreciate whatever you do for her.

I just say the part about the small town. Hmmmmmm.... how far is the closest big city? You could do a mini-roadtrip!

You certainly don't have to go out and spend a buncha money to have a bachelorette party, a girls night in, as midget sugguested is just as fun if not more so :D!

I know this sounds corny, but sometimes corny can be lots of fun.
Consider hosting a slumber party!!!!! The kind you always wanted as kid. Have contest for the funniest Pj's some one can come in, make your own face masks, give each other make over, Sleeping bags and air mattresses a must. Lots of movies and  tons of through away cameras. Be sure to include a favorite drink. Take the night to act like kids!!!
Have all the guest fill out a note the following morning, about their favorite part of the night

After party have the film developed make it into for scrapbook for her, I am sure she will love having this memory to keep!

Champagne & Pj's Party! I am sure she will appreciate any thing you can do!

    Good Luck!

I'm not sure if you and the Bride are outside types, but last summer we did a Camping Bachelorette party for one of my friends. It was an awesome, we did camping theme bachelorette games, and it was generally just an awesome time out.

Just a question cause I am curious...why does everyone (and I mean everyone that I have talked to) think it isn't a bachelorette party unless you are drinking gallons of alcohol and staring at naked men?  My friend/BM are going to Universal Studios in FL and relaxing by the pool.  I guess it depends on the person but I would have hated it if my BM planned a drinking till a vomit night out.

None of this is supposed to be a slap in the face to anyone, just my opinion, and hey if that is what the bride wants I hope she has a great time cause it is her night!

I have to agree, the idea of bachelorette party, where I get puke faced drunk is not appealing. I prefer spa day, or theme park, there are lots of ways to have fun with out stripper and drinks, think champagne and martinis are my limit. This is me everybody idea of fun is different! Wink

Throw away cameras I only suggested this, because most people will erase pics that they don't like on digital. Throw aways allow for a whole lot of fun candids, and OMG " did we really do that" moments :D
