HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been trying to get the guest list to print onto lables for 3 days now!!! Please I dont know why it wont let me get the info off theknot website! It took so much time to get everything entered in and its looking like I have to retype everything onto lables! If anyone knows how to help me please do!

Dont trust TK's website. Do it in microsoft word, open up the label tab, pick which labels you have and viola.

I've read about TK losing entire guest lists.  If you want to use TK, make sure you have a back up EVERYTHING.  (though, this is good advice no matter what program you are using).  TK is glitchy, and breaks more often than it works.

Okay if you want help on getting them onto labels for whatever reason, I 'll help...

First, go to "View List Summary"

Then, Export your list (it will be in .csv version)

Save to your computer

Open in Microsoft Excel to double-check the data

Open Microsoft Word

Create a "Mail Merge"

Tell it you want to create labels

It will ask you to locate your data source.  Find it where your save the .csv chart, and tell it that's what you want.

It will then ask you what labels you want where, and to position the first label.

After you get it all set up, tell it to show you the print preview so you can check that all of the labels are done correctly.

If you're not sure on how to do a mail merge and these directions don't help, then try using the Microsoft Help program to walk you through a mail-merge, step by step.

PS, I've heard that some folks recommend printing the address on the envelope in very light gray ink, then tracing over it so that it appears hand-written but is very neat and written more like a calligrapher.  Maybe this is something you could try, because technically you shouldn't use pre-printed labels for wedding invitations... But then again, it's up to you.
