Kids at wedding *search*

Hey everyone. Do I need an introduction post? Lmk, and i'll supply.

I know there's a TON of questions asked about kids at wedding. I seen a ton of them asked yesterday. I can't find them now .  Is there a way that I can run a search somehow on here? I'm not sure which community board this question would be most asked on and i'd like to get an idea of the pro's and con's of having the kiddos there.

OK, thanks ilovemilkduds. I was thinking about having them because my uncle from out of town is coming and he has custody of his 4 small grandkids, but then I thought if other people seen his kids there they'd start asking questions.
I also wouldn't want kids there because there will be alcohol. I was thinking about telling people the kids have to be gone by a certain time, but that would limit the parents and be REALLY rude. But i'll try that search box. I never noticed it. THANKS AGAIN!

It doesn't have to be all or nothing.  If you want to limit kids to family coming from out of town, that would be an understandable cutoff for most people.  You may have some people, that  get upset, but as long as you are consistent in your reasoning, there shouldn't be a problem.

I agree, it doesn't have to be all or nothing. We invited some kids and not others - the ones we did not invite were mostly co-workers' kids who we either haven't met or have no interaction with. The ones we did were close to us, babies, or lived out of town. No one seemed to mind and my co-workers commented that they were happy to have a night out without their kids.

As far as the alcohol, I think it's up to the parents to watch them and make sure they stay safe. The kids at our wedding made the dance floor even more fun and we didn't have any issues, but no one except my brother o_O got very wasted.

We are having kids at our wedding, as I am a nanny and children are a part of my every day life There are lots of fun activity ideas, and cute little things you can do to entertain them and make the day more fun for everyone involved We are making little gift bags for the kids to recieve before the ceremony to keep them busy...we included paper, stickers, small toys which we have been picking up after holiday clearances,and will have glow sticks and such at the reception..really looking forward to spending our special day in the company of family , friends, and their kiddos

Sorry for SUPER LATE REPLY! Glow sticks are such a GREAT idea!!! how fun for them! I'd really just like to "limit" the amt of kids. Some people have 4, 5 kids each. What i'm scared of is there will be 60 adults and 40 kids kind of a thing.
