Wedding Shows

Is anyone attending a wedding show this winter?  I want to go to the one in February at International Market Square.  Does anyone know how to get tickets for that?

Re: Wedding Shows

  • Don't know about that specfic show. Maybe check your local board for info on that show?

PSA: Just be careful with wedding shows. Don't give out your real email or phone number. They sell your info & you will have people bothering you for a long time.

  • Ditto redhead.  I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but wedding shows were the biggest waste of time and money of any wedding planning activity I did while I was engaged.  I don't even understand why you have to pay admission--they should pay YOU to go, because all it is is marketing.

If you have your heart set on going, I don't want to dissuade you--you might meet a really good vendor or 2, and it's kind of a neat way to get excited about the wedding.
  • Someone just called me today telling me I "won" a prize.  Sure.  They said, "Someone must have registered you at a wedding show."  Bull.  No one would register me for anyting and I haven't been to any wedding shows.  They're trying to get me to buy cookware.  No thanks.
  • Never give those vendors your real info. You will never hear the end from them. Most shows are a waste of time in all honesty. Go and get ideas, just be aware they are trying to hard sell you to put down a deposit right there.
With the way the economy is they will keep their rates low after the show to get your business.
