XP: I need a big wooden letter

FI wants to buy a big wooden K (the first letter of his last name) and have people sign it as a guestbook. I'd love to find a painted one, but I can paint if I need to. I've checked Michael's and AC Moore but there was nothing big enough there. We live far-ish from the closest Hobby Lobby.

Is there another place to look? We invited 200 and are expecting between 150-160, so it needs to accomodate all of those signatures. Also, what pens would be best for this?

How big? We have 8 inch letters S & J on a shelf in our living room.  They are about $7 each from Marshall's/ TJMaxx

<div>We were thinking at least 12 inches just to make sure there's room for everyone to sign...we hadn't considered getting smaller letters of our first initials though. That might be a good alternative. We were also throwing around the idea of a big ampersand because I feel like that would be a better decorative piece than a big K, but those are realllllllly hard to find in big versions. </div>

  • Here is a picture of what we have.  They also carry the & symbol.  They are 3-d so people can write on all the sides.

  • We did this exact thing for our guest book and found it on Etsy. When I'm on my computer tomorrow I'll get you the link.
