And I finally get my engagment ring back! Apparently it takes Kay Jewelers two weeks to resize a ring. >: (

The FI and I decided not to fully annouce our engagment until I have my ring back on my finger and I'm about bursting! His parents didn't even have the chance to see it!

I have to take my Ering off quite a bit due to my job at the moment (exercising horses) and because I play in the yard a lot (weeding, planting, digging etc). I've got a small wedding band, but my finger still feels 'naked' when I dont have it.

I hope it comes back and fits perfectly! Congrats on your engagement!!

I was shocked at how long it would take to resize the ring! I had it only for a couple of hours before we decided to take it in for sizing since it was big on me and I was afraid I would loose it. Apparently when he purchsed the ring the sales person wasn't very informative because when he picked out the ring he told them my size and apparently the guy just said, "just bring it back for sizing" instead of letting him just order it.

That does seem like a while for a sizing, but it could be the chain. My rings are from Jareds and it only takes them an hour or so, pending on how busy their store is.

It could also depend on how ornate your ring is and if they have to make since all the stones are still secure after re-sizing.
