Plaid Weddings

I'm thinking about doing a Red Plaid wedding as part of of Winter lodge wedding. Anyone else doing a Plaid theme? 

Pinterest is AMAZING with ideas, but there is a whole lot of Plaid ideas.

I Love the Rustic Lodge and Red Plaid wedding look. It matches me and my FI perfectly.

This doesn't really fit FI or me, but it's such a great idea!

I never would have thought of something like that, but it looks so cool!  This makes me want to be way more outdoorsy and embracing of my western-man-ness so I could pull something like this off.

Are you planning on doing lots of DIY?  Where would you incorporate plaid?

I would just be very careful that is doesn't go too overboard, but I think touches could be nice.

When I was in high school, red and green plaid was my favorite color combo, so I always thought I'd do that for my wedding one day. If you like it, do it.

If you like it, go for it! Like PP said, just be careful not to over-do it, touches (table runner, program matting, boquet ribbon) with coordinating solids will tie it together nicely.

This is the kind of thing that can look really wonderful, or really, really terrible.  It's like the difference between plaid bridesmaids dresses, and rustic looking dresses with a pretty plaid shoulder wrap or something. 

Maybe try thinking of it as 'a rustic lodge wedding with plaid accents' to keep the plaid looking understated and classy.

Hah Ive Seen some SCARY plaid wedding pictures! Hahah I'm only doing small touches. Our idea is a Lumberjack and enchanted forest type of wedding. I have a ton of idea from Pinterest!
