I was out in a park today, doing a photoshoot with a local photographer (I occassionally model as a fake senior or fake bride for local photographers building their portfolios), and several cars and a couple motorcycles pulled up nearby.
One of the motorcycles was fantastic, so we walked over to see if they would be ok with us shooting a couple pictures of me on their motorcycle. They said that'd be fine, and that they'd be several feet away, because they were all there for a wedding.
Turns out, the awesome motorcycle belonged to the groom, and he and the bride were there for a short, simple, casual wedding that afternoon, with about 20 of their friends.
Well, as a bride-to-be myself (2 more months till the big day!) I really wanted to do something special for them, so I asked if they had a photographer for the wedding. The bride said they had to keep everything inexpensive, so they just had a friend take a couple shots with their phone camera.
I spoke with my photographer and then to the couple, and arranged that in exchange for them allowing us to use their motorcycle, he would take a few shots during their ceremony (which was under ten minutes) and email the pictures to them.
The bride and groom were so happy, and I was so happy, and the photographer was pretty pleased with the pictures, and it was overall quite a happy interaction.
Just wanted to share!
