Losing weight for your wedding?

I am getting the sense that I am not the only person on here who is trying to lose weight and get in shape for her wedding.Would anyone benefit from making a daily or weekly post about progress/set backs/ frustration/ tips, etc? Either via emailing or perhaps just on this board? Also, I'm just curious what everyone else is doing to try to get fit. I could use some new ideas.

I started bootcamp in April and I loved it... i decided to continue for another session in June (WHEN IT RAINED ALL MONTH) but didnt see as much of an improvement. When I first started it, I loved it.. I saw great results, but unless you continue every day then it doesnt work.. .not only that but eating healthier which is REALLY hard. I just decided that I need to reward myself with things in order to keep up on my own and with my wedding only 54 more days away I need to do it quick... so Im going shopping at the end of each week, only if I excercise EACH day. Even 20 min is. good. I think anything to get your heart rate up is good.

There is a "getting in shape board" on the Knot that is for  this exact encouragement/check ins.  I was using the Jillian Michaels' video "30-day shred" which was recommended by the girls on that board.  It's the toughest workout I've ever done.  I dropped a size and saw some good toning, but stopped doing it once the weather turned really gross and humid - I just couldn't muster the energy to do it.  I hope to start up again now that the wedding is 27 days away!  Yikes!I didn't loose any pounds, but do fit into clothes I haven't fit into in YEARS!!!

No, you are not alone!  Personally, I'm doing Weight Watchers because the healthy eating is what I struggle with the most.As for exercise, I trained for a triathlon over the summer and loved it!  Now I'm training for a 10K race in October so I've been running a lot, which is a bit more challenging for my.  I also have the Jillian Michaels workout DVDs that I really like for getting some weights in.Personally, I just try to do the best I can.

I had no idea about the other board, I'll have to check it out. I do weight watchers too! So far I've had fantastic success with it. I've heard of the Jillian Michaels program, but am a little to scared to try it. As of now I do yoga and have an elliptical in my bedroom. I can't go to sleep without looking at it. That keeps me on it.

I lost weight AFTER my wedding with Moi Thai Kickboxing in Bedford (it's a VERY hard core work out and I am so addicted).  Also a WW online fan. Didn't lose anything before the wedding (infact I found myself completely out of control of my eating becuase I put so much pressure on myself to LOSE weight - just don't buy a too small dress and you'll feel great without the pressure!)

I have been using a program called Isagenix since July and it has been phenomenal! I did the 30-Day nutritional cleanse and have lost quite a bit of weight dropping 3 dress sizes! I am now on a maintenance program and have had no problem keeping the weight off.If you want more details/information feel free to send me an e-mail: emilydkennedy@gmail.com

I'm on the "getting in shape board" and it is really helpful.  I also do WW and personally LOVE No More Trouble Zones (a Jillian Michaels DVD).
