Shoe help! Where to find, and what color??

Hi ladies!  Need some shoe help!  Anyone know of good wesbites to find pretty wedding shoes that are both affordable and comfortable?!? I've been searching older posts on this topic but can't seem to find what I'm looking for.  I need comfy shoes because I don't wear heals that often, and I'm also on a tight budget.

Also, what color is most people going with?  Are you wearing white (or off white) to match your dress, or going with color to match the bridesmaids dresses or colors in the wedding?  That seems to be what a lot of people are doing nowadays.

Thanks for your help!  wedding is in Feb and I'm starting to stress!

  • Try DSW.com or Zappos.com for lots of options.  I personally ordered mine from an Etsy vendor, but they were not the cheapest shoes out there (but I'm a shoe whore and couldn't stop thinking about the ones I found sooo).  I'm planning on getting some flats for the reception, probably from Zappos.  My ceremony shoes are blue with a lace overlay that match my dress.  I wanted them to be my something blue, plus they match my bridesmaids. :)

You can wear whatever you want!  I would just start looking.  If you really want comfy, look at flats.  There are lots of cute ones out there.

  • I went with THIS shoe from Nina in Orchid Crystal. I knew I wanted a fuscha pink shoe no matter what. That color isn't anywhere else in my wedding and I don't care. I'm not one to like matchy matchy anyway. Nina has decent prices and some lower heel options too, but "affordable" is a broad term. You might want to be more specific as to what your budget is.

On sites like the PP mentioned, Zappos.com, DSW, Shoes.com, Amazon.com, you can sort the shoes by price, heel height and color. That can help you get a better idea of what's out there in your price range.
  • I am wearing Nina shoes in Grape. They aren't very expensive and they have a variety of heel heights.

  • And of course when I found shoes that I loved at that Nino's and that I could afford - THEY DIDN'T HAVE MY SIZE!  WAAAA!! Cry

Do a google search for the shoes or check DSW, department stores and other retailers. Many carry Nina shoes, but not all of them. So they might still be available somewhere else.

I'm wearing flats since my ceremony will be outdoors & barefoot and i don't want my dress to look too short at the reception.  I found these at dressy.com.  The size is true (i wear a 9 and a 9 fits perfectly).

Edit: they're in ivory...same as my dress.  :)

    I wore those shoes, too!

Mine were in clover (dark green).  I wanted my shoes to be colorful!
