I'm having an outdoor wedding this August and I have an Ivory dress. It'll be a simple natural themed wedding, being outdoors and a reception in a very eco friendly church, with green/white colors. My fiance is a bigger guy (5'8, 275lbs). He's hoping to lose some weight before the wedding, but we're still unsure as to what he should wear (neither of us know anything about tuxes). I think he wants to wear black and I'm sure that would be more slimming, but with the wedding theme I just don't think black would work. I wanted to see what you all thought. What kind of tuxes are slimming and what colors?
Another thing is that when I wear heels I am almost always taller than him, and this is especially emphasized by my body type (thin, long legs). I don't want him to feel short. Should I wear flats? I love shoes and there aren't a whole lot of options with flats that I've found so far that I like. I was also a little worried heels would sink into the grass if its wet (we're in MN and the weather is very unpredictable).
