boutonnieres and corsages

FI and his BM will be in Marine dress blues so obviously no boutonnieres...niether of my parents care to have a boutonniere or corsage but I don't know if it's just more formal to have the parents of the bride and Groom to have them anyways. 

I was thinking since the guys will be in thier Blues, it wouldn't be missed but idk...What do you you all think? What have you done?

Nobody will miss them.  I made DIY paper flower bouts and corsages for the guys and our parents. I was thinking of nixing them altogether and just having the guys wear pocket squares. Its a little detail that looks nice, but its not necessary.

I vote colored pocket squares. They're more modern than boutineirs anway, and I think they look really nice on the guys. I dont really care for corsages* either, but a lot of people like them..I would just ask the moms if they would like them or not-my mom said no thanks, she thinks they're juvenile looking and I kind of agree with her..they make me think of going to prom.

my FI wants his guys to have pocket squares. My mom doesn't want a corsage, and i'm not sure about FI's mom yet.  I figured that when they get escorted to their seats, they can be presented with a single rose.....which can then be placed in a small vase at the guestbook table at the reception.  That way they're still acknowledged, but they dont have to worry about crushing flowers.

i dunno. its a tough decision. but i dont think they'd be missed at all.

I think I'm just going to have my dad have a pocket square...a pink one, I'm just not gunna tell him it'll be pink haha.

There are no other guys in the wedding party so I don't have to worry about them.
