Jim Hjelm Bridesmaid Ruffle Back Dress

Has anyone worn this? Is there room to dance? My FI and I are having an RIP party (to our single selves) a couple months before the wedding and inviting people our age for loud music, dancing, and another reason to dress up. I want to look elegant and I LOVE the ruffle back. I discovered the ruffle back after I had already bought my wedding gown.

However, I made the mistake of asking him what he thought today and he was like, "nope, don't like it, doesn't look like you can dance in it."

So help! If this is your BM dress or you've worn it, please tell me it isn't so?!

Re: Jim Hjelm Bridesmaid Ruffle Back Dress

  • My bridesmaids are wearing this for our wedding in July.  I was nervous to go with it because of the length, but the material is amazing.  It is paper thin and it seemd like the girls could move around in it.  I love the back as well, and the ruffle totally sold me.  I sure hope they can dance in it too!
  • hi

i am a BM and wearing this dress in april.  However, i have tried it on a million times and it is super super comfortable and not being able to dance in it was never even a thought that crossed my mind because of the comfort. Like the previous post, it is really thin, a little long, however, it shouldn't get in the way! good luck! also, it is so beautiful on...the ruffle is AMAZING!
  • oh thank you both , I'm in love with it and trying it on this weekend! It really is gorgeous! Good to know that its light weight, that's got to make a difference.Cool
  • I have 12 BM'S and 11 of them are wearing this dress. My sister, the MOH is under 5 foot and the ruffles did not look right on her so she got a diff dress. All the girsl love it and I even tried it on and did not want to take it off, its so comfy and flattering and they all said they feel sexy in it!
