Has anybody used Bridal Dream Dress site?

I found this designer that I absolutly love, Yolan Cris, and I was kind of sad to see they weren't available in the U.S.

Then I found this website... www.bridaldreamdress.com and they have their dresses! I'm just curious if anybody else has used them?

This is the dress I want... It is sooooooooooooo pretty!

Re: Has anybody used Bridal Dream Dress site?

  • Did you order your dress from Bridal Dream Dress?  I too am contemplating the risk.  I have fallen in love with a couple of dresses and can't seem to bring myself to pay the designer price.  The company offeres reviews on their website, but I'm sure they are selective with what they put on there.  I have communicated with them and they have been quick to respond.  Please let me know if you have heard anything more from others or have made a purchase yourself.  Thank you!

  • I have been looking at that site as well.  Oporto by YolanCris - I have been in contact with the designer and L'elite in Boston, they do not have the dress there for me to try on.  The way I see it - even if I took a trip to Boston just to try on the dress (that isnt even there) it would cost as much as this version of it.  It seems like a decent chance to me.  To order the dress from the designer it would be about 4k US.
  • If you go to www.whois.net and type in the website address it shows that the company is located in China.
  • Hey, did you ever get the dress from that site?
  • One of my friends ordered her wedding dress from that site for a tiny fraction of the original price.. Yes it's a knock-off and yes it's Chinese.. Her wedding is in 4 weeks so I'll have to wait and see it in person, but she SWEARS by it! It's a Rosa Clara gown that she already tried at an official Rosa Clara stockist.. She couldn't afford the real one, but she tried it on, saw it person, and felt the fabric and so on.. She swears that the knock-off she got from Bridal Dream Dress is quite the same!
I can't wait to see for myself (I'm actually quite picky!) to decide wether I'll give them a try or not.. But I think I already trust her judgement :)
  • I'm not sure why there is such hype over Chinese made dresses. I would be willing to bet they 99% of the clothing you wear is made in China (or mexico, tiwann, etc). Your best bet is to find a website that provides their OWN pictures, communicated quickly and effectivily, and order well in advance of your wedding date.  Like all designers, there is good and bad construction at every price point. I'm narrowing down which knock-off site to use for my Oct wedding now. I would be happy to make a future post about my experience!

I ordered a Yolan Cris dress from Bridal Dream Dress (bridaldreamdress.com) in Jan. 2012. I was also concerned about all the things mentioned above.

I ordered it with normal shipping, not rushed, so they said it would take about 2 months. My wedding is in September so I had enough time to go to plan B if needed. I received it not just on time but a month early. (Feb. 2012)

It is beautiful! I'm not a seamstress but it feels well made, and fits me perfectly. The details of the original design are so well replicated, there are very few differences. I think it helped that I gave them a very detailed list of measurements. (There are sites that have a detailed chart you can refer to)

I know it's always a risk when you aren't able to try on the dress first but I was more than pleased with what I bought. The company was professional, they contacted me and gave me a customer service person I could reach if I had any questions. Overall it was a great experience and I recommend considering it as an option.

I was wondering if you could send real pics of your dress  and the pics it was to replicate i am considering purchasings a jasmine gown from there but i dont want to be upset if i lose my money on it
  • My dress came 4 days early and it was spot on. So pleased with it. would total do this again if I need a ball gown or something special. I did try my dress on in a shop before ordering which took they guess work out of it. I saves about 70% of dress price.
    OVER THE MOON.
  • <div>I was totally thinking about doing that! Do you have pictures of your dress you wouldn't mind sharing? </div><div>

    Hello!

What about the fabric quality? Was it high quality/similar to the original dress?

    Thanks!
    Ann
  • DON'T DO IT!
I ordered a dress from them two months ago... It arrived in a white bubble mailer squished.
The material was cheap, it looked nothing like the real thing.
They are being really bad and giving me grief for a return eventhough the site promises you can send it back.
It was a complete nightmare... Going to go buy the real deal in a few weeks... Such a waste of money and completely exhausting.
  • Careful with this company and others that are similar. I ordered a sash that took a VERY long time to arrive. They indicated that the first order got lost. When the second finally arrived, it was not even remotely close to the item that I saw on the photo, different style and color. They indicated they would refund the money, but that I needed to go through their other company albaba. Alibaba claimed I need to go through bridal dream dress and it goeds back and forth. Sucks but I will just go get a different one full price now.

  • zebula what did you end up going with? I'm so tempted to order a yolan cris knockoff from that site! I would love to hear what you decided. :)
  • I'm warning! Bridal Dream Dress -  http://www.bridaldreamdress.com/  is a total disappointment!
I thought I was going to cry as I got the dress. quality of materials and workmanship are simply failure. Cut of the bottom line frayed, overall length did not agree with the dimensions that I gave in the order, flower - part of the belt - torn and frayed, the top of the dress - blouse - was made from the material on the curtains, in addition one of the buttons was a defect, no silicone strips inside the bodice. generally poorly tailored dress, with too many layers of tulle and organza. The belt had completely wrong cut - rose to the top while walking continuously. repair the dress cost me almost $ 100.
  • Hey,

I fell in love with a Yolan Cris dress and as you know it is not possible to find all of them in the US.

I saw this post about bridaldreamdress and I wanted to know what was your experience with them? and if maybe you could send me a picture of what you got?

I'm a little hesitant as far as quality and look of the dress goes - was it very similar to what you saw on the website?

the one I fell in love with is called "Nerja" and can be found in her website if you are curious.

I look foward to your message - sorry to bother you!

Thank you soooo much in advance :)

  • I decided to order my dress from them becuase they were so much less expensive than the original I wanted that the risk of losing the money was worth it to me.  I just got my dress today and it is absolutley beautiful!!!! I had such a great experience with the company and their excellent customer service that I wanted to share with all brides who are thinking about them- they were a definite win for me and saved me $2,800 :) One happy bride here!
  • Just curious, but would any of you brides be willing to post pics of your yolancris dress or your bridal dream dress pics? I'm dying to see, I'm in love with the Dallas and Bronx dresses from New Sun (or who am I kidding, I love them all!) Thanks!
  • I am also considering using this site. I don't really have the throw away money, but I also don't have the 1800 to spend on the dress that I have fallen in love with. The mixed reviews here really worry me :/
  • I just ordered a dress from the site Elizabeth Filmore Belle for my rehearsal dinner. I promise to post a picture once I receive it. Keep you posted! It should be here in 4 weeks.
  • I'm also looking into ordering a dress at Dream Bridal Shop as well. But with all these mixed reviews I'm concerned about the quality and fraud with the company. Can someone send some pics? I fell in love with a Tara Keely dress but it retails for $2800! This will save me so much more $ if I can trust this site. Thanks for ur help!
  • i also fell in love with a Tara Keely dress but its almost $2,000 please share pics of dress yall ordered from Bridal Dream Dress....thank you

  • I too am considering ordering from this site. Brides who have ordered from them PLEASE share pictures!
  • I just ordered my college graduation dress from their site. Arrived 10 days early and was perfect. I would love to share pictures but I cannot from my phone. They did a wonderful job. Fiona was great in helping me the whole way through. My dress was more of a bridesmaid dress and was the Alexia 4060 design. It was done very well.
  • Has anyone got photos of their dresses they have bought from this website.

How did the dress Elizabeth Fillmore belle dress turn out? Could we please see pictures?
  • It makes me a little worried to see that noone has posted a picture showing the dress that they got from the bridal dream dress website.  Is it probably all too good to be true?
