Bridesmaids dresses

Hi! I have plenty of the time until my wedding but I would like to figure what color would be better.
My wedding is in early june at night. It's formal and traditional but with a vintage feeling and outdoors. Our colors are pink with gold accents.
So the thing is I believe pink would be the best but I've never seen 2 of my 3 girls wear pink.
Excuse my english!

Re: Bridesmaids dresses

  • Pink and gold can be tough colors for pale girls to pull off, so if any of your bridesmaids are really fair-skinned, realize that they may look really washed out.  However, a darker shade of pink would probably look nice on most skin tones (okay, it could be problematic for red-heads...)

Ask them what they think.  You could always go with a neutral like black, chocolate brown, navy, or charcoal grey -- these would look nice with gold and pink!  Then you can use a lot of pink the bouquets (with gold ribbon) and it willl really pop against the dresses.

  • I've talked to them but all they say is that they would wear a courtain if needed but they can't agree in anything.
I didn't though of the fair skin problem and it's a good point since one of them is really pale.

I was thinking in asking them to wear a LBD but I was afraid it would clash with the feeling of the event but a charcoal gray would look very good!

</div><div>My bridesmaids wore black dresses of their choice, and I think it looked really nice.  I've seen this done a lot actually.  Almost everyone has a LBD in their closet, and if they don't, you know they'll get lots of use out of a new one.  And it results in each girl wearing something they feel great in, while keeping a cohesive look.   </div><div>
</div><div>Also?  I find it odd that your bridesmaids say they will happily wear whatever, yet they can't agree on anything.   It sounds like they are pickier than they want to admit.

<div>I've been looking at pictures and I think in the black light fabric will be the best choice.</div><div>They are trying to not be picky, but yes, they are picky plus they're style is really different (one is goth, the other preppy and the third is kinda hippie) so it's a nightmare to find something they all like</div>

  • We come to an agreement: black short dresses of their choice with pink sashes and shoes in black or gold. I don't care what else they wear as long as it doesn't clash (like a red jacket or similar)
