To Birdcage or not....

I have purchased a beautiful 1/2 birdcage and I am a little confused on the formalites of wearing it.  Do I wear it in formal pictures?  Does my groom have to lift it a little to kiss me, lol.  ?

Yes, you can wear it for formal pictures or you can take it off (or do some with and some without). it's really your choice.

If he veil doesn't cover your mouth I see no reason why your groom would have to lift it.

I'm wearing a birdcage veil, and I'm planning on wearing it for the ceremony and formal pictures, then probably taking it off for the reception so I get some pictures without it, too.

I'm wearing mine in a way that FI won't have to move it to kiss me, but if it's covering your mouth, then yes, he'll have to move it.

Mine does not cover my mouth so does not need to be lifted. I plan to wear in only a couple of formal pictures then I will do the rest of my pictures without it.
