Black Tux with black shirt?

I have been trying to find pics of the black on black combo with no luck. My daughter and her fiance have chosen black on black with coral vest and ties. The bridesmaids are wearing a similiar coral orange color. Too much orange?Should the groom be dressed different than the groomsman?  If you have any pics or links of the combo please post

My groom is wearing same color tux and shirt as GMs but different vest and tie.

I personally think that coral dresses, vests and ties would be too much, especially for pictures.  Since it's a bright color, if they all wear it I think your eye would be distracted from the bride.

  • yea our GM are all in black, and the black vest and ties as well. FI is going wear black shirt white vest and tie, and black tux's. They could always try the tux on and see if they like it. If they have a BM that has her dress you could bring it and hold  it up to the men in tux

  • Kristen your pic did not post.
  • sounds fine to me, I think it sounds awesome actually

  • We are doing all black tuxes with black shirts and red ties for gm and FI will have black tux ivory shirt and red tie. My bms are all in black with red bouquets and sheos :-)
  • Would that look a bit haloweenish?  Not that that is a bad thing, just pointing it out.

I had the exact same color combo for my wedding! I could send pics, but i'm at work now.  DH had black tux, black shirt and coral/orange vest and tie.  The groomsmen had white shirts with the same vest and tie. The BM had coral dresses.
It was very beautiful and didn't look halloweenish at all. I liked how the black shirt made the groom stand out from the groomsmen.  And the coral BM dresses looked really good with my white dress.
I may be a bit biased, but I really thought it looked good. Sorry I don't have the pics here!

Here's a link with a black tux and black shirt. It has a black tie, but the orange/coral tie really popped. http://www.mensusa.com/products.aspx?id=2095
