holy moly veils are expensive!

I got my dress but decided to hold off on the veil because the ones they had in the store were $300!!! I'm afraid to order offline...do they sell them right there in the store or do they need to be ordered like the dress? Suggestions?

I bought mine from www.weddingbedazzle.com The veil I got is an Illusions veil, the same brand sold in my dress shop and a heck of a lot cheaper. I paid $30 for mine.

I made mine.  I bought tulle and some chantilly lace trim and a comb from Jo-Ann's, cut it into a mantilla shape, and hand sewed the trim around the bottom.

Cost me about 20$ and three days worth of hand stitching.
