Coral and Turqouise?

So the dress I ordered is not the traditional white or ivory.
The dress color is called sherbet, and it's kind of a light peachy pink:

I wanted to have my girls wear a soft pink originally, but when I put that next to my dress, it made my dress look kind of dirty because of the peach hue in it.

So I was thinking of doing a coral and turquoise color schemed wedding. With the girls wearing coral (which also has some peach in it, so it doesn't make my dress look dirty), with turquise accents (such as shoes and jewelry).

Also, I should mention that we are getting married in July on a rooftop, and the reception is in the loft space inside. Eventhough it's not the original colors that I thought we would be using, would it be a nice color combination for a summer wedding? Or is that just a really strange color combo?

I think it would be a nice color combination CLICK.  But please don't make your bm's buy turquise shoes.  I don't think they'd ever wear them again.

ETA:  I mean if you are dead set on the shoes for your girls then I think it would look ok - but you should buy them... But I really think a nude shoe would look great!

  • I like the color combo, it's bright and fresh for a summer outdoor wedding. I agree with the previous poster of not making your girls wear turqoise shoes and wearing a nude color heel. Turquoise jewelery would be cute though. My colors are magenta, lime green and a splash of orange for july outdoor wedding near the beach :-)

  • I went to the Unveiled bridal show in Minneapolis on Sunday and a local party rental company displayed an absolutely gorgeous tablescape with coral & turquoise colors.  If I were having a summer wedding I'd totally go with these colors!

  • Thanks for the input everybody!

Bummer on the shoes though, I've been seeing turquoise shoes everywhere, and thought that they were in and would be a nice addiiton to the collection.

But nude shoes and turquoise jewelry is probably enough of a statement.
  • I love that combo!  Brown or nude shoes will be good.  Let them get something that fits them comfortably.  Turquiose jewelry is my ultimate fave!

Just because you saw it on Four Weddings, doesn't mean it's a good idea.

I agree a nude shoe would look best and they could wear them again.
  • I think a soft coral could be really pretty!

Also, have you considred gray for the dresses? That would also make a pretty combo with coral--it's one of my favorite new color combos.

Love your dress by the way!
