DW in Hawaii

Hi everyone.
I ordered this gown yesterday after trying on close to 30 dresses.  I was looking for an appropriate beach dress.  Something flowy and chiffon.  I tried on several cuts and styles and was disappointed with how I looked in all of them.  I am 5'7" and 145pounds, most of which is in my hips (and none in my chect! lol)  so I looked awful.  Then I tried on Adorae by Sottero & Midgley and was completely in love!

I am just curious if this dress is appropriate for a wedding on the beach?
I plan to have the petticoat removed so the dress isn't going to be as puffy or heavy.

Did I go overboard?

Beautiful dress! Wear the dress that you feel great in and that looks awesome on you, not the one you think you "should" get!

It's not going to stay clean, but whose does! As for whether or not it's appropriate - go for it if you feel beautiful in it.

I think a lot of people think a beach wedding dress should be flowy/chiffon, but I think structured satin/silk style dresses look just as beautiful. The dress is gorgeous and I think it will work great for your DW!

I am getting married on a beach too, and my dress is satin as well. It's your day - wear whichever dress makes YOU feel great

I guess I was just having dress anxiety, lol.
That was my first purchase for the wedding and I started to second guess myself. But I love, love, love this dress!

I got an email from the Sottero & Midgley and that dress was in the email as a suggestion for a formal ceremony.  Made me question myself.  Thanks for chiming in everyone.  I feel better now.

It is a beautiful dress but like Sottero & Midgley said, it is for a formal ceremony.
