Dress length and veil

Hey, My dress just came in. The sample dress had the perfect length, but my dress was alot shorter because of my height proportioanlly with the back. I wasn't satisfied so they sewed on a longer train which is now kind of just too long. What do you think I should do-keep it long or make it the original length. To get to the sample dress length would require actually cutting up my dress. So its either too long or too short. This is going to be a relatively small wedding of maybe 75 people. It is a outdoor wedding at a castle estate. What do you think? Also should I get a short or long veil to go with this dress? http://www.flickr.com/photos/36073292@N04/?saved=1

I actually have another dress for the reception so I won't be wearing it for too long.

That is a freaking fabulous dress.I would go with a short veil, like an elbow length. IMO, the skirt is what makes the dress and you don't want to cover it up. Or I'd even skip the veil and get a really pretty feathered hairpiece.

I like it best without the train. THere is a lot going on with that skirt and the really long train is too much.

I agree that the sample is the perfect length. I prefer the longer to the shorter, though, particularly if you aren't wearing it for the reception. Awesome dress, though. Oh, and this is why I ordered my dress the normal length and will just hem it to fit my short body - I didn't want to have a "petite" train.
