Olivia Bridal

Does anyone have any experience with Olivia Bridal? It's one of those Chinese websites that advertises "replica designer dresses" and will make a gown based on photos. It seems more reputable than Buyer100 based on the website, but I can't find any reviews. I'm also struggling with the knowledge that there's probably some major cheap labor going on to be able to produce those dresses at the costs they advertise...but then, most major dress labels are made in China anyway! Thoughts?

Re: Olivia Bridal

  • I am in love with a PB dress that Olivia Bridal claims to make as well but am having the same problems you are. Did you ever get any response on your posts? I couldnt find any reviews of Olivia either. What did you end up doing about your dress?
  • I am also looking into two possible PB dresses from Olivia Bridal. I have searched for reviews and scam warnings but also found nothing. If either of you chose to go for a dress from this site, please post back here! I am dying to know the outcome!
  • have any of you ended up ordering from Olivia Bridal?
  • Do none of you ladies look at the thread start date?

  • I didn't look a the start date, until I got to your post SBmini!  It seems hard to believe that no one has an experience with the place.  I too, am curious.  There is a tasty Vera Wang I love, but cannot afford even at a discount!
  • @kelmoi try preowned wedding dress online or check out bridepower.com they sell only sample gowns and they can find ones for you
  • @kelmoi I think Olivia Bridal looks super fishy. I fell for it too when i found it while searching for dresses, but when I googled how it could be so inexpensive, the very first returns were about scam alerts. With the China based companies a buyer has a lot less control over shipping issues, and often the dresses don't turn up at all.  Also if they are reproductions, it's important to think about the factory conditions the dresses may be originating from. IMO I'd rather have something super simple than a gown with bad karma attached to it, you know? Like the commenter above, I also recommend preownedweddingdresses.com. I've also been looking on Etsy, looking at vintage dresses, even vintage ballerina dresses. My most recent avenue is I've started asking around about some of the design schools in my city- who knows, maybe I'll find my dream dress made by a college student! :) Good luck!
  • We bought my daughtter's wedding dress from them.  It was a Vera Wang replica and was perfect. You can't beat the price including shipping.  Just make sure you give yourself enough time.  They were a little slower getting it back to us than originally stated.  I paid extra for speedy shipping but they refunded that money since they did not ship when promised.  I don't think you will be disappointed.
