strapless bra recommendations?

I can't help it,but I hate strapless bras. My dress is strapless,so of course I'll need one. I've bought them before and they either don't feel supportive,or they're incredibly uncomfortable. I know I'm buying the right size,I've done a fitting before at Victoria's Secret and I wear the size I've always thought I wore. Anyway, not only do I need a strapless bra for my wedding dress for next summer, but I'm also in my fiancee's sister's wedding this summer. Another strapless dress lol. I'd like to just invest in a nicer quality, better fitting strapless bra now and wear it for both occasions. I don't think Victoria's Secrets strapless bras work very well for me but I'm not really sure where else to look.I know the department stores that I like to shop at always have nice underwear departments but I'm not sure which brands to look for. Also, any change of finding one that's comfortable, supportive and atleast somewhat pretty too? Ok,those are my goals lol.If anyone has any suggestions, especially links that I can check out,I'd really appreciate it! Thanks. Michelle

  • I am a 34D, and totally feel you on strapless bras.  I hate them. I had to get one last year for a wedding I was in, so I tried a wacoal strapless bra.  It is amazing.  It stays on the whole time, and you don't have to keep "picking up the girls".I have the halo lace one: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/2812733?refsid=257152&refcat=0~2376776~2374325~2374176&SourceID=1&SlotID=1&origin=related&cm_Sp=Related-Items-_-Product-_-Manual
  • Thanks for your recommendation.Definitely sounds like you understand what I'm talking about.I'll be checking that brand out. Thanks again. Michelle
  • if you are standard sizing, check out the Lilyette line. i swear by their "defining moments" strapless, style 929 (which is also convertible).this bra has rubber grips throughout that really help you stay put. as a 34D it was the best strapless i ever found.now that i am a 32DD (i lost weight but somehow gained a cup size) i am wearing LeMystere style 7759 (which is also a pushup strapless).before you order anything online, you should get fitted at macy's or another dept store. VSecret is really more "vanity sizing" and not what you find in a dept store line.GL!
  • Thanks for the suggestion. I imagine you're right,it would be good to get sized at a department store.I hadn't even thought about that lol. Yes,I'm standard size,I wear a 38C. So I can find them in my size, they just haven't fit right. I checked out Lilyette after your mention of it,they had a "longline" bra as well. That was their term,I'm not sure if that's the regular term or not. I'm not sure which way would be the more comfortable option, the regular strapless or the "longline" types. Any thoughts? Thanks.
