Tea-length dress = discouraged bride

Hi ladies,I just started looking for dresses and I am already discouraged! I want a tea-length dress with a full skirt but I am finding out there aren't many of those out there. I have found a few online that I like but they are either really expensive or not from a reputable website. ANY resources, links, advice anyone has on where to find tea-length with full-skirt (I don't like the ones that aren't A-line) would really be appreciated. I'm going to two bridal shops in a couple weeks (one being David's Bridal) and I'm not looking forward to it because I know they won't have many tea-lengths. : (THANK YOU!!!

I felt the same way you do until I found mine at Norstrom online. Have you looked at David's Bridal online? They have some tea length that are pretty cute.The good thing about finding one at Nordstrom is their open ending return policy. My dress came and it's smaller than I thought it would be and they told me that in 6 months I could still return it.Don't give up hope. The dress is TOTALLY out there. Good Luck!

Most gowns need to be hemmed so what is wrong with finding a ballgown and have it hemmed to tea length? It would give you tons of options!

eBay may be your friend. I got a 1950's white prom gown for $25 that's fabulous.

I feel your tea-length pain, it is extremely frustrating not to be able to just make an appointment at any bridal salon and go try on dresses you like. Of course the internet offers a lot of options but it doesn't compare in the slightest to being able to try on dresses. I have seen some tea-length dresses in stock at David's Bridal so you may actually get to try one on though!I think the best options would be trying on BM dresses at the shops and ordering them in white, or hiring a local seamstress to make one special for you.Have you checked out Dolly Thicke's dresses? They are priced somewhat reasonably.

Thanks ladies!I have an appt at David's Bridal next week and another local bridal shop. Hopefully I'll at least find one dress I can try on and I plan on inquiring about having a full-length dress hemmed to a tea-length.I have seen Dolly Thicke's dresses and Stephanie James'. Has anyone ordered online from Dolly Thicke? If so, how did it turn out? I am just so scared to order online without trying it on.

I haven't ordered from Dolly but I know someone just posted on the Offbeat bride Tribe in the tea-length community that they just received theirs, and it looked great. I just chose a tea-length dress from Stephanie James Couture. I think her prices range from 1500-3000 and her gowns are AMAZING.If that's our of your budget, definitely check out Dolly Couture.Also, I saw a few tea length at David's Bridal.
