Negotiate Price on Sample?

Can you negotiate the price on a sample dress? I'm looking at a sample that is being sold off the rack. The price has already been slashed because of this, but the dress also has a broken zipper that will need to be fixed. I'm not sure if the boutiques price is final, or if there is room for negotations when buying a wedding dress. Thanks for any advice!

Yes, I was looking at sample dresses and she was going to give me 10% off the already reduced price.  I did not end up buying it though.  There is definitely room for negotiation.  I would just tell her you like the dress but it is more than you wanted to spend and ask if she can go lower.  Can't hurt to ask!

I found a lot of places were willing to do this.  It doesn't hurt o at least ask!

You absolutely should negotiate the price especially on a sample dress that has some damages. I negotiated the cost of my dress, MOH dress, MOB dress, and all of my accessories w/ my bridal shop, and all of the items are new, and have to be ordered, none were samples. Especially in these times, if they want the business they should be willing to negotiate! Go for it!

Agree, I have found that if you ask in a nice way many vendors are willing to negotiate.  It def. doesn't hurt to at least ask at the bridal boutique.

There is always room for negotiation.  A floor sample even in pristine condition is still technically a used gown.  It's like going to a dealer and wanting to buy their test-drive model(they have to give you a discount because of the higher milage). Also keep in mind that if it is not a discontinued floor sample they are going to either have to fix the zipper anyway or order a new floor sample and get rid of the one you want if they order a new floor sample anyway they should at least sell to a bride who wants it and get some money for it(obviously not at a 10%--I would go for 50% to 75% of their asking price citing the obvious problems with the dress).
