  • ditto mbcdefg.  The everything above the bustline is weird.  The rest isn't bad - it's different, but there are lots of pretty mermaid flutter bottoms like that.  Look up Watters & Watters CABO.
  • It does have a lot going on... I think it would look much better if it were strapless.
  • wow- thanks for the brutal honesty. I tried it on strapless and it looked weird, which was weird, but oh well. thanks
  • I think the top part looks ok but the mermaid flare and that neck/shoulder thing does look kind of odd. I like where they were going with it, I just think it didn't work!
  • It looks a bit 80s to me. Something about it reminds me of Celine Dion's wedding dress way back when.Keep looking :)
  • I know that a lot of dresses look crappy on the models and on the hanger, but really nice in real life. Maggie Sottero's "Rhianna Royale" and "Libby" come to mind. (The saleswoman at my salon brought me Libby and I laughed at it because it has vertical stripes, but once I got it on it looked a lot better.)Do you have a pic of yourself wearing it? Maybe it looks nicer on you than on the website. Waht's attracting you to this dress? The mermaid silhouette, the neckline, the ruffles at the bottom? Something else? Maybe people can suggest other dresses that are a little "cleaner," for lack of a better word. But in the end, if YOU love it then that's what matters.

  • the neckline things make it look weird and 80s

  • Wow. I read all the responses before looking at the pic and was totally expecting something horrid.  It wasn't. At all.  I don't personally care for the bottom with the separated petal things, but I like the rest of it. Mermaid dresses aren't my style, but this one doesn't look any worse than a lot of other ones I've seen.
  • It's not the ugliest dress I've ever seen but I'm not a fan. There's a lot going on. Either have the crazy neck thing and a simple bottom. Or, keep the crazy bottom and do a simple neckline. With both it just looks like you're trying too hard.
  • I can see why you like it. It's unique!Your best bet is trying it on because dresses always look different on real people! If you're super skinny this dress is probably going to be AMAZING. If you're not, I would skip it.
  • I really like the neckline- it's very couture and unique! I don't dig the skirt, though- I can handle "ruffles" but like a pp said, they look like separate petals or something... not a fan of that part.Overall I agree that it has a lot going on and it's not my style (I prefer a minimalist dress- no beads, lace or embroidery) but I.... yeah, I think I like it! (but yes, I did have to think about it a little lol)

  • I actually like it....I tend to like unique things though. That said, I wouldn't wear it; there is no way I could pull it off, but if it looks good on you and you like it...that is all that matters. Go with what you love and feel amazing in!
  • Hmmmm it is very interesting...I think that it would look much better strapless. A gown that has a similar sort of feel, but is much more elegant is the Watters-Torrean. If you liked this gown, you may like that one too. Good luck!!!
