Picked out the cake!

The FI and I went to Jacques yesterday and the cake is picked out. Ladies you were absolutely right..Jacques was amazing..thanks so much for all the reccomendations. You girls are the best at advice..thank you so much!!!We ended up getting an ivory colored frosting color, 3 tier(were gonna have a sheet cake out back to save on costs), then we are doing a thick pool blue ribbon around the tiers with athin chocolate brown around the blue to incorporate our colors. We are doing white cake with a strawberry filling.It was really tasty!!

Congratulations. Cake tasting is SO fun. We are getting our cake there too. We are doing 2 teirs with combination (chocolate and white cake) with amaretto buttercream filling and 1 layer white cake with the same filling. They were so great to work with, I had a very limited budget and they were able to work it out so that I came in under budget and still got exactly what I wanted

That's where we got our wedding cake! Three tiers...top and bottom tier is spice cake with fillings of caramel butter cream and apple preserves on alternating layers, and the middle tier is red velvet with chocolate truffle filling!! YUMMY!The design we chose was their Wheat in the Wind design...we're getting married 10.2.10 and it fits in with our rustic harvest theme! http://www.jacquespastries.com/weddingcakecollection/fall/files/collage_lb_image_page22_9_1.jpgOurs will be without the ribbon and will have dahlias and wheat instead of the roses.
