Alfred Angelo Dress Sizing

I bought my wedding dress over the weekend and I'm super worried I bought the wrong size. My chest and waist measurement put me in a size 6 but my hips put me into a size 12. The size 12 sample of the dress i got was huge and the size 8 was a little loose as well so I ended up ordering the 6. According to the size charts thats way too small and now I'm nervous. Anyone else wearing AA with similar experiences? Thanks!

I have an AA gown but I didn't think their sizing was that far off.  They were only one size larger than my normal street size.  One thing to remember is that the samples are sometimes a bit stretched out from the numerous time they have been tried on.    Don't panic, you still have plenty of time.  If I were you I would call the store and ask them if they would exchange the dress for a different size when it comes in if it is too small.  I would think they would have no problem as long as it is the same dress.  You can always take a dress in but are very limited to how much you can let it out.

You should be OK. I ordered my dress with them. They kept telling me to order a size bigger and I wouldn't. They said the dress I was trying on was stretched out. But, when I got the dress, it was BIGGER than the sample I tried on in the store. So, I am glad I got the size. Also, make sure they have your contact information correct. I got my dress in 4 weeks (they said 12) and they sent me a certified letter saying they were going to send my dress back because they couldn't get a hold of me (when I had corrected my phone number with them 3 times). The manager was very helpful and I am happy with my dress. Good luck!!

I would go into the shop to get re-measured. I'm a 8 and measured a 6. I got measured a 6 again (i even checked the charts myself!). I'm having AA 1186. Best to be safe than sorry. x

Thanks girls! I changed the order to a size 8. I would rather have to take it in then not be able to sit down in it all night!
