satin in july?

My wedding is in July.... Are long satin dresses appropriate for my BM?  The wedding is around 3pm in an air conditioned church and the reception site has air conditioning.

As long as they won't be outside in the heat, I say it's fine.

I was in a wedding in early August with long, satin BM dresses.  Even though the church and reception sites were air conditioned, it was still really unpleasant.Unless you're really attached to these dresses, I'd pick something cooler.

I was in a satin BM dress in a summer wedding and it was very uncomfortable, even with the air conditioning. I had my girls in taffeta in March, and there were still times they were running around and hot. I don't think its going to mater much what the material is if the dress is long. So I think I would go with what you like.

I wouldn't suggest it.  I think your BMs will be uncomfortable.  I think lighter fabrics would be more appropriate and seasonal.  Try organza or chiffon!

Thank you so much for all of your help~ I'm beginning to think that I need to start over and find another type of fabric/dress.... I have 5 BM and I wanted everyone to wear a different style of dress all long. I found 5 different ones that are Bill Levkoff but they are satin so I am going to keep looking, I don't want anyone to be too hot or uncomfortable at the wedding. Thanks again I appreciate any help/suggestions....
