making your veil?

Has anyone had any experiences making a wedding veil? I tried on a few veils at bridal salons, but I just cannot stomach paying $400 for a piece of tulle! Any kind of suggestions will be helpful.

    We made mine too. It turned out great, IMO. We bought a premade plain one from a shop and added all the rhinestones and trim (which was also rhinestones). You can find sworski crystals at most fabric stores. That's what we did. It still cost a pretty penny to put together. Still wasn't $400 though ;)GL!
