Help! Which dress do you prefer?

Hi! I am new to the message boards, but I really need some help and some unbiased opinions. I have four different wedding dresses that I have tried on and absolutely love. I get that "feeling" that everyone talks about when I put any four of these on. I can truly see myself getting married in any four of these dresses. I always have been, and always will be extremely indecisive, and I need help! I figured I could get a good sampling of unbiased opinions here. And please, comments on why you like the dress is most appreciated!Dress 1: http://i33.tinypic.com/2ikqtxj.jpgDress 2: http://i34.tinypic.com/33ommtv.jpgDress 3: http://i34.tinypic.com/w00sxw.jpgDress 4: http://i38.tinypic.com/ouozmp.jpgThanks so much!

Re: Help! Which dress do you prefer?

  • I like dress 3. I think it is the most flattering on you and it's not too plain. Plus I think you look the most at ease in that dress. Dress 3 is my vote.
  • I like #3 also.  I'm not a fan of lace (#1 and #2), #4 looks a bit plain, and I'm bias towards pick-ups!!  I think there is something so enchanting about them!
  • I'd vote for 1 or 2 (can't see 1 straight on in the picture). I think the long straight lace makes you look nice and thin all the way down...
  • I agree with pp, I think dress 3 is the most flattering but I also like dress 4 on you. I did not like 1 or 2 for you.
  • I think you cut the cleanest figure in #4. I'm biased because I tried on #2 (MS Jorie Ann, right? Or is it something else?) and lace clearly wasn't working for me at all. I think you look good in lace, but I think the "cleaner" dresses look better on you. Plus it was hard for me to get a real feeling for #1 since the photo is a side-view. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them, though.

  • In my order of preference, 3, 4, 1, 2.   I think #3 is by far the best one on you.  It's very flattering and you look the most beautiful in it. :)

  • Thank you all so much for your opinions! They really are helping! I really appreciate all the feedback and so fast, too! Keep 'em coming! : )
  • mbcdefg.... Close, it was a Maggie Sottero dress, but I think the style name is Addie Lynn. My bridesmaids tend to like this dress. I really like this one too, because I've always thought that I wanted an all-lace dress and something more "vintage" looking, but the other day I tried on the simpler, more modern dresses and I really like those, too!
  • Hm..this thread is so interesting! So funny how people all see different things in the same photo or dress. I actually prefer #1, but like everyone else said, it's tough without the frontal view. It just looks beautiful and romantic and classic to me. I also like 3 (that seems like the most popular) in terms of it being very flattering, but I'm just not a fan of pickups at all. I definitely don't want to offend anyone who has a pickup skirt on their dress, but I just prefer the clean lines of more classic skirts. For 2, I think the corset back doesn't quite look delicate enough to be bridal (though it looks great on you) and for 4, it's a little too simple and I'm not sure how much I like the seams down the front. Good luck with your choice! You look awesome in all of these.
  • I'd say 1 or 4, I'm a big fan of classic dresses. I've looked back at the dresses from the 70's and 80's and the "in" dresses now look HORRIBLE and I don't want to be the bride in the dress that people will think is ridiculous in 10 or 15 years. I think pick-ups are going to be the pouffy sleeves of the 2000's! But thats jut my w2 cents.

  • I also prefer #1, love the cap sleeves and lace, very flattering! #3 would be my runner up.There has got to be one that you are leaning towards, right??!!!!
  • I like #1 and #4 best on you - #3 really isn't my style so maybe thats why I am biased and don't like it - I also don't really like #2 on you - the way the ribbon cuts on you just doesn't look right to me - don't know why - so I say, if you want lace I say do #1 and if you want something more modern #4

  • Hi acvollmar! First off you look gorgeous in all of them so no matter what one you choose it will be the "right dress".  That being said, from what I can see in the pictures I like number 1 the best.  I loved the way the lace looks on you!  I also really like number 3, it is very similar to my dress!  I have the pickups too, but I wouldn't be afraid of being dated in the future.  Of Course we will be!  I think every wedding out there will be dated 20yrs down the road, even the ones with classic looking bridal dresses.  So don't let that be a deciding factor for you, pick whatever one you feel the best in!

  • I like them in this order 3,2,4,1 Good luck with making a decision!
  • #3 is my fav...followed by 1, 4, then 2   Best of luck! remember only you know how you feel in the dresses!
  • I like #3 best followed by 1, 4, 2. #2 is the only one I don't much care for on you.
  • I love 4 on you! My second favorite is 3.
  • They are all beautiful, but my vote is for #3.
  • I like #3 the best.  The side ruching is fantastic!  I also like #1, but I would like to see it from the front because I'm not sure how the cap sleeves look.  #4 is also very nice.  I'm not a fan of #2 but I could just be distracted by the crease in the fabric.
  • My favorites are number 1 and then number 3!!! They are all so beautiful on you...I can see that this will be a tough decision!
  • # 3 by far is the most flattering on you and you look beautiful in it.  As far as the pick-ups being dated I wouldn't worry about it.  My dress has a much more dramatic pick ups than yours does and I love it.  My advice to you is don't worry about your dress being dated.  Yes pick-ups are in "right now" but so are the dresses with the corset backs and the buttons down the back - that's why I chose one with a zipper - I wanted it to different.  Just about every dress I've looked at has had buttons/a corset back -  and these are both a fad right now.  You want to be able to look at the photos in 20 years and still like the dress, if you pick the right one you will :)  My second choice would be the one with the ribbon - my dress has this also and sets it apart from everyone elses.
  • I vote for number 3!! By far!!

  • I think that # 3 looks the best on you and #4 would be my second pic. I'm not really crazy about 1 and 2.

  • I love the style of dresses 1 and 2... but I don't think that they are right for you. I like # 3 on you the best. It has a really flattering shape that is proportioned just right. My second choice would be #4, but I really like the detail on the bottom of the third dress.
  • Based on the angles you gave us to look at, #3 looks best on your figure and looks the most flattering.  All the other one's just lay blah on you.... Definitely would go with 3 all the way.
