Menus for Buffet/Family Style Meal?

The meals at our reception for our guests are all going to be served family style - pretty similar to a buffet, but the platters/bowls of each type of meat and sides are brought to each table.

So, for those brides that had a buffet or family style service at your wedding (or brides that are planning to have this kind of service), did you have menus/will you make menus? Did you make one menu per guest, or one menu card per table?

I wanted to still create a menu so that guests know what they are going to be served, but I'm stuck as to if I should make an individual menu card for each guest, or if I should make one menu card per table. TIA for your suggestions!

If I were a guest, I would like to know what I was eating (esp. if anyone has allergies or is a picky eater).  I think one menu per table would suffice.  Just make sure people can see it.

We are doing a combination of buffet and passed for our meal. The reception venue is making menus for each place setting for us (they offered for free!).

i think that one per table is fine.  we are doing buffet and instead of menu cards we are getting old little chalk boards and writing the item and ingrediants on them and placing them in front of each item on the buffet.  maybe if you only do one per table you can put it in a little picture frame so it is clear as day and can be passed around?

We had family style at our reception and I made one menu for each table.

One for each table works just fine but if you want to add some spice to each place setting, you can one pp in a napkin or place it on plates! GL

We are doing 1 per person I think, folded into the napkin at each setting.

Like most of the othersI think that 1 menu per table would suffice.
