I'm worried about my dress...

I have had to send my dress back and get a smaller size, now I'm worried the corset will be open to much.... How much space should there be in the back between the lace up part?

Re: I'm worried about my dress...

 • From what I see in pictures, it should be a nice "V" shape.

 • Doesn't really matter as long as you can do your dress up, and you like it. Mine was pretty wide, probably a good 4" - 5" at the widest point.

 • It's really just your preference. It can be as narrow or as wide as you are comfortable with. I have seen a variety of them.
 • I think it will be ok.  I'd rather err on the wider side for the corset than on the narrow side.  Then you can see how pretty that detail is.
 • Is that why you are getting a smaller size to decrease the gap in the back? If so alterations should be able to take it in without touching the back. Just a thought.

 • I had my dress ordered a size smaller than my boobs said i should get just so my "v" would be wide. Like a few other girls have said, it is really a personal preference.
 • The dress I sent back was a size or two too big. I do want the lacing to show, I had to lace it all the way up so itwould fit me at the waist but then it almost looked like a zipper.... I Thank you all for your thoughts......
 • Why couldn't they just take it in on the sides? My dress is the same way, and it was so tight if I lost any weight (which I tend to do when I get stressed) it would be falling off. They are taking it in two inches on the sides.

 • They did not even mention that... The ladies that were working when I went to try it on were not there when I ordered the dress.. They did not even act like taking it in was an option or would work. They made me feel like the manager (who is the one who sold me the dress) did not know how to fit someone for this style of dress.. Thats why I am so concerned about the next dress. Whose word do I take, the mananger or the sales girls?
