wanted: pair of cap sleeves

I've bought a really plain strapless dress and would like to add little cap sleeves but can't figure out where to buy them. I've noticed a lot of dresses seem to come with detachable cap sleeves that people don't use. If any of you has a pair that you have no need for, please let me know - I'd love to buy them! A lot of seamstresses will make cap sleeves out of the leftover material that they cut off during the alterations (so the fabric matches).  You can ask about it.

Thanks, that's a good idea.  My dress isn't going to need alterations except a slight hemming, so that won't work for me, unfortunately (well, not needing alterations is fortunate, I guess!).  I also want something a little sheer or shimmery, since my dress is so simple....

That would still be very simple for a seamstress to do.  You can buy sheer fabric really cheap, and you wouldn't need very much of it (or maybe your seamstress could buy it for you).  It should cost any more than a few dollars.

How much are the ones from David's bridal?

I did talk to David's Bridal, and apparently they sell them for $39 when they're in stock.  If anyone does have a pair that came with their dress that they're just not using, would be great to pay a bit less!

Like I said, the material is really cheap!  You can probably buy it for only $2-3 per yard from a fabric store, and I'd be surprised if you even needed that much of it.

Ohhhhhh, i found this last night and I thought this might suffice as cap sleeves. It's under jackets it's called JACKET I http://www.bluebyenzoani.com/main.html they all look really sophisticated and I wish I had bought one for my wedding.There is also Eveyln and JACKET M on this site http://www.enzoani.com/main.swf Tell me what you think I have seen a bride somewhere that got tulle straps and added appliques. That's pretty easy to do yourself.
