milly bridal- just got my dress today...

and I am thrilled! It turned out great- very beautiful :). It is actually a lot nicer than many of the dresses I tried on at a bridal salon (where the prices were 4-6x more expensive than what I paid). I sent Milly Bridal my measurements (which were taken by a seamstress), and the dress fits 99% perfectly (I may have to have it hemmed a little; but I also tried it on wearing my Mom's crinoline slip from her wedding that has been smashed in a trunk for 28 years, and isn't cut for a mermaid gown)! The only thing that it needs is to be steamed, since it does have a few wrinkles in it from being shipped. I don't have a picture of myself in it yet, but you can see the pictures of the dress here: http://www.millybridal.com/store/comersus_viewItem1.asp?idProduct=324 . The dress actually looks even better in person than it does in the picture- the beadwork turned out very nice. The workmanship of the dress is fantastic. I was REALLY nervous about ordering a dress from China without ever trying it on. I knew I liked the style- my favorite dress at the bridal salon looked almost just like this, but had a $2400 price tag. But I couldn't be happier with the results, and I am glad that I saved my Mom a lot of $$! Milly Bridal was very easy to work with. I know that there are mixed reviews about 'China dresses', but I just wanted to share my experience with any brides that may be considering this option. It may not be the case in very expensive designer gowns, but when I tried on gowns in a bridal salon (in the price range of $1600-$3000) all of the dresses had made in China tags. I plan to buy the proper undergarments (bustier, crinoline slip) this week, and I will post a picture of myself in my dress asap. (I would post a picture of the dress on the hangar, but due to the style it looks a look better on).
