Online Wedding Dresses

This is the first time I am posting here.  I am hoping someone can help me out.  I am looking at these online sites to buy a wedding dress and came across a site that has a dress I like.  Has anybody heard anything about them or have used them.  It's Aphrbrial.com.  I can careless if it is a copy of a designers dress.   Who cares you wear it for 5 hours as long as it looks nice thats all I care about.  Thanks for your help!

Re: Online Wedding Dresses

  • I would be very hessitant to buy a dress online, unless their return policy was excellent. Or if you already had a chance to try it on and just found it cheaper online. I walked out of a store with a totally different dress than I expected, because sometimes when you put them on, they look awful, no matter how beautiful on the rack. Sorry, I didn't answer your question-no never heard of them
  • IS it a replica shop? If so I wouldn't get my dress there.
  • Typically most people care if it's a copy because the material they use in the reproductions aren't as good and it doesn't always turn out looking exactly like the actual designers dress.  Some girls have had good experience with a few of the replica shops but they made sure to see photos of their actual work (vs. just the stock designer photos they post) and follow the progress the whole time.  Most of the time though, the end results are not good.  Also this is a very important day and all eyes will be on you and you'll have hundreds of pictures taken - do you really want to risk it?A few of the reputable online sites that are actual authorized retailers of designer dresses but at more affordable prices are RK Bridal, netbride.com, and Pearl's Place.

  • My dress was a replica, I think from a local bridal alterations shop....I tried her on while shopping for alterations for my original dress (which I sold thanks to the bridal websites!) and it's beautiful and I had to have it, but I never had the guts to purchase a dress online...if you can't feel it or at least see pics of a real bride in it....and she can take close ups, it's kind of taking a risk.  But I guess they are so cheap online you could try and if you don't like it, just buy another one.
