Store of Dress

hey ladies! i am in love with the Valentino Sposa dress, Columbra. (first dress i tried on!). the only downside, it's *pricey* $8,000 reduced to $4,900, still out of the budget. sigh. so i found a place based out of China called Store of Dress. They say they can make it for $329, which is ridiculously cheap. has anyone used Store of Dress before? i can't find any reviews. thanks in advance for the advice! rach

store out of China? hmm...sounds kind of sketchy. I wouldn't trust a store that far out of country.

There are plenty of Chinese sites claiming they can replicate dresses - resoundingly brides that have gone down that route have been disappointed, I know it's hard but it's much better to settle on something within your budget that you can see and try on - that way you know what you are getting. It would be a shame to spend $339 dollars plus shipping only to have to start again and look for a new dress, which is what most brides on here that have bought dresses from China have had to do. I wouldn't trust a place called "Store of Dress," nor would I trust them if they claim that they can duplicate the dress for 6% of its cost. If the VS dress is $4900+, there's probably a good reason for that (cost of materials, labor involved, craftsmanship, etc.). I think you would be MUCH better off looking for a used version or a sample of this dress, depending on your budget. If your budget is still not in the $2-3K range, you could look at other designers for a similar model.

its a beautiful gown, but there are many beautiful gowns out there, more likely in your budget.  i would not risk or take a chance on the dress for my wedding being some cheap knockoff.  i'd keep looking if i were you.
