Warning!

Recently ordered two *matching* bridesmaids dresses from David's Bridal Online. They sent two completely different dresses! Of course the dress I ordered was a final sale/no exchanges dress so to get a return shipping label for the WRONG dress, I had to contact customer service. I contacted them by email because when I called there was an ANSWERING MACHINE! The email response took 48 hours. The woman kindly told me she would email me a return shipping label. I waited another 48 hours. The label NEVER came. I just called them again today, and again I got the answering machine! It will take up to another 48 hours for a representative to call me. I went through the phone menu multiple times trying to find an option that would let me talk to a PERSON, but there was not.
As you all know, weddings are time sensitive, and most of us don't have oodles of 48 hour windows in which to wait for someone to contact us about something as important as a bridesmaid's dress.
I know mis-ships happen, and that's not my complaint with them, my problem is that it's been next to impossible to get THEIR mistake fixed.
If you want customer service, and you don't want to end up with mis-matched bridesmaid dresses-
DON'T SHOP AT DAVID'S BRIDAL.COM!!!!!!

Re: Warning!

  • Is there a David's store in your area that can help you? I've tried calling there before too and I always get voicemail. I also never got an email from them when a BM dress I ordered for another wedding was available for pick up.

  • Personally, I would take the two dresses and go to your nearest David's Bridal.  Since it is so difficult to get a hold of them via-emial your next best bet is to talk to them in the flesh.  Explain to them everything that has happened and hopefully they will be able to take care of it for you (and I wouldn't leave until they did).

As stated above, go to your nearest store.
  • Ditto PP. My mom's dress came with a hole in it.  I tried to call and got the run around so I went right to the store.  They were able to help.  Don't waste any more time on the phone.  Run to the nearest store.  If you can't get there at least give them a call,

  • Wow, if they let this happen online I am wondering if they will do this when I go to the store?!

What happened to me was I put a dress on layaway and a veil.

I called and said you know I was kinda pushed into the sale of the veil by the saleswoman and I actually didnt want it,

Could I cancel JUST the viel? NO!

then I had dress regret and wanted to cancel my layaway. on the reciept it says you can cancel but you will pay 10%

so I called and said OK ill pay the 10% and the lady was like "you want to do that? you cant do that? what a waste of money? we dont do that here"
    and I was like WTF?

so the manager spoke to the head manager and they said OK we can cancel BUT YOU CANT PUT ANOTHER DRESS ON LAYAWAY?

then they called AGAIN to say "oh please put your other dress on layaway we can do that"

i honestly think the company is SO messed up and there are too many chiefs and not enough indians, to use a term
